ANF welcomes launch of vaccination campaign

The ANF has welcomed the launch of the national pandemic influenza vaccination campaign as an important step in protecting the Australian community from the spread of H1N1 virus.

ANF Federal secretary Ged Kearney said Health Minister Nicola Roxon acted swiftly to implement the vaccination campaign in the best interests of the nation. Nurses and midwives need to be aware of the guidelines around administering the vaccine and can access these here.

“Nurses will be at the forefront of this campaign in all health care settings and it is imperative that nurses are well informed and engaged in the role out process.”
