The Australian Nursing Federation is the union representing the dedicated nurses and nursing care staff working in aged care and is committed to the best care for older Australians. We recognise the valuable work of all nursing staff in aged care in providing the highest standard of nursing to Australia’s ageing community.

Older Australians have helped build this nation and deserve our respect and care. The federal government should help older Australians to live independent and healthy lives by properly resourcing aged care.

Through the Because We Care campaign the ANF aims to support dedicated nursing staff working in aged care.

The important role the aged care sector plays in our community should not be underestimated and must be included in the Australian government’s health reform agenda.
